The Welfare of Schedule Castes & Backward Classes Department in Haryana implements different schemes for the Welfare of Schedule Castes & Backward Classes. The Department's main role is to supervise and coordinate the work of other departments on the implementation of different schemes for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes and De-notified tribes.
The scheme aims to give financial aid to OBC students who are studying post-matriculation and post-secondary level to help them complete their education.
Eligibility Criteria For Post Matric Scholarship From Haryana
- A student must be from Haryana and belong to the Backward Class.
- The annual income of the parent/guardian should not be more than Rs 1,00,000.
- Scholarships will only be available to Indians who are OBC, according to the Central Govt./State Govt./UT Admn.
- Scholarships will not be given for courses such as the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Course or Private Pilot License Courses.
- The courses at the Training-Ship Dufferin, (now Rajendra); Training at the Military College in Dehradun; Courses for preexamination training centers at all India and state levels."
