Compound exercises that work multiple muscle groups are the best for full-body workouts. The best moves for overall strength include deadlifts and kettlebell swings. You can increase the effectiveness of your workout by incorporating these moves into your routine.

The Essential List of Full Body Exercises

Warm up by performing each movement for 20 seconds. Repeat this warm-up two times.

  • Jumping Jack
  • The Inchworm Walkout to Shoulder Tap
  • Squat
  • Circuit:

Continue the circuit by performing each movement for 45 seconds and resting 15 seconds in between. Double-check the circuit.

  • Blast-off push-up
  • Squat thrust
  • Pendulum lunge
  • Mountain Climber Twist
  • Pause squat
  • Plank up and frogger
  • Burnout ladder

To burnout ladder, do 1 rep each of the following: 2 reps each of these, 3 reps each of these, and so on for 3 minutes.

  • Cool-down:

To cool down, perform each movement for 10-30 seconds. You can go longer if you feel good and have the time.

  • Child's Pose
  • Dogs that face downward
  • Forward fold
  • Standing quad stretch
  • Shoulder circle
